This last week on social media facebook there have been a large amount of unhappy clients regarding termite management and services provided. The one which stands out to myself is a property in Murwillumbah where the previous pest company managing the site has had problems in getting a "Control" of termites on site and inside the dwelling.

2: Baiting in subfloor not installed correctly to encourage termites into bait box, no entry point?

3: Termite Stations on site not serviced correctly, no timbers or have not been looked and the use of combinations of treatments inside the station, foaming termites in station, not to mention the price of which the client was charged.

After our site Termite Inspection i quickly found the problem areas and entry point active areas and gave a proposal to set up and protect an area using drill and inject with Termidor HE and on injecting came out coptotermes from the hole where suspected termites were.

This last week at Zone Pest i have had the pleasure talking to prospective clients regarding their Exterra Termite Management Systems which have been installed around their home and was looking to use an independent like us. As i walked around and gave our free site consultation we both noticed gaps in the placement of up to 5 meters and further, no brown caps and no timber or the incorrect interceptor timbers used and supplied by exterra for their inducted service providers.
unfortunately for one of our clients we have just picked up their home was attacked by termites and some timber had actually been intercepted but no bait was applied resulting in my opinion a large termite nest inside the dwelling.

The month of October and the Beginning of November i have been seeing flying insects every where and most importantly Winged Termites known as Alates, these winged termites are in search of new harbourages to make a new nest and colony

Today we have the great pleasure of taking care of a body corp property in Hastings Point conducting Visual termite inspections and pest control in 25 dwellings on site. 
My findings were a little shocking to see that no sticker of a service to the individual units located in the sink area, no maps of the site, and most of all one of the most largest Termite nests in a roof void i have ever seen and to see this nest of this size indicates it has been there for minimal 1 year to 3 years which brings me to the question would you trust a pest control company that manages your site?
Our recommendation is to look for relevant maps of a site, stickers indicating a pest treatment or termite inspection under the sink, detailed paperwork of where the company has inspected and treated.

This past month we have visited surrounding communities offering free advice and consultations regarding termite management with chemical barriers or monitoring systems. I am going to touch base on something i am passionate about and that is workmanship for any trade you contract, whether it's a sparky, carpenter or even lawn and garden, every profession has to have a standard of work ethic and also run and maintain a business.
I know we are all finding it difficult in going forward in life and business but in most cases if you're investing in a new family home or investment property you want to get the best out there and still not hit your back pocket.
