Exterra Termite Management Systems.

This last week at Zone Pest i have had the pleasure talking to prospective clients regarding their Exterra Termite Management Systems which have been installed around their home and was looking to use an independent like us. As i walked around and gave our free site consultation we both noticed gaps in the placement of up to 5 meters and further, no brown caps and no timber or the incorrect interceptor timbers used and supplied by exterra for their inducted service providers.
unfortunately for one of our clients we have just picked up their home was attacked by termites and some timber had actually been intercepted but no bait was applied resulting in my opinion a large termite nest inside the dwelling.
These systems do work as long as the appointed business is actually managing the system correctly and taking time in inspection the outside and inside to a standard and unfortunately this property in mention in my opinion has not been managed to Zone Pests standard.
My advise to you is ask your appointed termite and pest provider is to ask them to take a picture of the inside stations or video their site visit as this will provide evidence of the quality of workmanship.
